Searching for the Truth in Abstract Art
"My abstract background drives me to do what I want to do best
I use acrylic and enamel. I am experienced in contemporary abstractionism, being inspired by Picasso’s use of brush strokes on certain figures and the calming effect they have on my soul."
The above is some of the words spoken by Isaac Mkhanwazi when he describes his art.
Here we have a close up photograph of a Isaac Mkwanazi painting the Janet Sobelfication and Jackson Pollockfication are used in the background to give truth to the idea of Isaac Mkwanazi where he states: "My Abastract background drives me to what I do best"
The above photograph was taken at the Living Artist Emporium in Johannesburg and shows some part of a painting by Isaac Mkhanwazi. The primary and secondary colors adds to the tension shown in this master piece painting.
Only some parts of the master paintings are visible here. But it still shows Isaac Mkhwanazi's absolute mastery of color theory.
In this painting the emphasis is clearly on the colors Red Black White Blue and Green. Some of the White stripes depicted here was made with Enamel paint.
Another masterpiece painting by Isaac Mkanwazi.
This photograph was taken at an event at Arts on Main Maboneng Johannesburg South Africa. It was sponsored by Hennessey and hosted by the international artist Shepard Fairey (The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston has described him as one of the best known and most influential street artists)
The attendees were encourage to use the stencils provided by Shepard Fairey and they could add also their own ideas.
Isaac Mkhwanazi is very inspired by this quote of Pablo Picasso: "We all know Art is not the truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth, at least the truth that is given to us to understand"
Isaac Mkhwanazi's art is available at The Living Artist Emporium (LAE) Johannesburg South Africa
